Juventus star awaits Barcelona move

Tuttosport has revealed that Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic has made a move to Barcelona his top priority for the upcoming period, to the point that he has almost frozen contract renewal negotiations with the Bianconeri management recently.

The Serbian international’s contract at the Allianz Stadium expires at the end of the current season, and he has rejected Juventus’ initial renewal offer. It now seems likely that he will leave Serie A for a new challenge, which he hopes will be at Barcelona.

The report indicates that Vlahovic is prepared to join Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of the current season and has informed his agent that Barça is his absolute priority, emphasizing the need to give the Catalan club priority in any negotiations at present.

As of now, Barcelona has not made an official move to sign Vlahovic, but the latter half of March is expected to be decisive, as the Blaugrana management will then decide whether to proceed with an attempt to sign the player or pursue another option.

It’s no secret that Barcelona are looking to sign a new striker, as Robert Lewandowski’s contract expires in July, and Vlahovic appears to be an ideal option given his technical abilities and his contractual situation with Juventus.

The Serbian national team’s fitness coach previously confirmed that Vlahovic would end up wearing a Barcelona jersey next season, fueling speculation that there is at least some contact between the Catalan club and the player.

If Barcelona back out of signing the 25-year-old, his priority will be to stay with Juventus, provided he receives a significant pay rise; otherwise, he will move to the English Premier League.
