The newspaper “Sport” reported that Barcelona’s management has reached an agreement with Marcus Rashford for him to stay permanently and sign a long-term contract at Camp Nou.
Rashford is currently on loan at Barça from Manchester United until next July, and the England international has managed to rediscover his form after three years of struggle.
In recent days, it was rumored that United’s management might be interested in bringing Rashford back to Old Trafford next season, especially given Michael Carrick’s belief in his abilities.
According to “Sport,” a meeting took place between Barcelona’s management and Rashford’s agent, resulting in an agreement on the personal terms of the 28-year-old’s new contract.
Rashford is very happy at Barcelona and has completely ruled out a return to Manchester United.
Barcelona have the option to buy Rashford outright for €30 million next summer, but Joan Laporta’s administration will try to negotiate with Manchester United to reduce the fee or arrange a more convenient payment plan.
This season, Rashford has made 34 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists.
