Italian media outlets reported Juventus’ interest in signing Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos hours before the 2025 summer transfer window closed.
Ceballos was on the verge of a move to Marseille, with the French club reaching an agreement with Real Madrid on the details of the deal. However, the player decided to reject the southern club’s offer, citing the fact that a move to Ligue 1 would be a step backwards for his career.
In recent hours, it was reported that Juventus had opened negotiations with Ceballos, before reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that this news was completely false.
According to Romano, Juventus has not negotiated with either Real Madrid or Juventus regarding this deal, and the player is completely out of the Bianconeri’s plans this summer.
The 28-year-old’s most likely option is to remain with Real Madrid, especially after Xabi Alonso’s recent statements, in which he indicated that he is counting on Ceballos and has not asked for his departure.
Ceballos is currently hoping that Real Betis will find an economic solution and, consequently, pay the amount Real Madrid wants (€15 million) for the player to return to the Andalusian club.
