Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi initially rejected the idea of coaching Al Hilal next season after receiving a substantial Saudi offer in recent days.
Al Hilal is currently searching for a permanent successor to Jorge Jesus, and Inzaghi is their primary target.
Al-Riyadh newspaper revealed that a representative of the Inzaghi family arrived in Saudi Arabia in the past few hours to explore the lifestyle in preparation for making a final decision on the offer presented to him by Al Hilal.
According to the renowned Italian journalist Di Marzio, Inzaghi is currently leaning toward rejecting the offer from Al Hilal.
In general, Inzaghi does not want to enter into intensive or serious negotiations before the end of the current season, i.e., after the Champions League final scheduled for May 31.
Thus, Al Hilal is currently considering other options, given that Inzaghi is unlikely to join the team for the 2025 Club World Cup, even if he accepts.
Fulham coach Marco Silva is at the forefront of Al Hilal’s interest, although the Portuguese is relatively inclined to remain in the English Premier League, given Tottenham’s interest in signing him.
The other name on the Al Hilal board’s agenda is Nottingham Forest coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who has the advantage of experience in the Saudi League, having coached Al Ittihad for a year and a half, winning the Roshen League title the season before last.
