Inter coach Simone Inzaghi admitted he has exciting offers from the Saudi League, but at the same time refused to discuss the matter further before the Champions League final.
Inter will face Paris Saint-Germain at the Allianz Arena next Saturday, after the Nerazzurri lost the Serie A title to Napoli and the Coppa Italia semi-finals to AC Milan.
Inzaghi has been linked with coaching Al-Hilal for the past month, and it was reported that the Blue Wave had offered him a staggering €50 million salary over two years.
The distinguished Italian coach responded to reporters’ questions about the matter by saying, “Yes, there are offers from Saudi Arabia, and there are offers from Italy as well.”
He added, “Thinking about that now is crazy. After the final, I will meet with Inter’s board of directors, and if the circumstances are right, we will continue to cooperate, and I will stay here.”
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has emphasized that his club’s entire project is based on Inzaghi, emphasizing that the Italian management will do everything possible to retain the coach.
Meanwhile, the situation for Al-Hilal should be resolved soon, as the Club World Cup is less than three weeks away. The Saudi club has not appointed a permanent coach since sacking Jorge Jesus and appointing Mohammed Al-Shalhoub as interim manager.
