The Italian club has submitted an offer to Al-Ittihad to acquire winger Moussa Diaby on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy next summer for €35 million.

So far, Al-Ittihad has neither accepted nor rejected Inter’s offer, but surprisingly, Diaby himself has agreed to personal terms with the Nerazzurri, making the deal likely to be finalized.

Diaby joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2014 from Aston Villa in a deal that cost the Jeddah club €60 million.

This season, the 26-year-old has participated in 24 matches across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 11 assists. He is considered one of the key players in Sergio Conceição’s squad, making his potential departure at the end of January a significant blow to the Jeddah Tigers.

It is worth noting that Saudi media outlets previously reported Al-Ittihad’s desire to make a swap deal with Al-Shabab, which would see Diaby move to Al-Shabab and Yannick Carrasco to Al-Ittihad.

Now, Al-Ittihad will have to move to secure a replacement of Diaby’s caliber, especially as the Saudi team is close to losing N’Golo Kanté, who wants to transfer to Fenerbahçe in Turkey.
