Inter identifies its primary target to succeed Inzaghi

Inter officially announced the departure of coach Simone Inzaghi one season before the end of his contract, based on his personal desire.

Inzaghi is expected to take over at Saudi club Al Hilal in the coming days, following a hefty offer he received, earning €20 million annually.

According to Italian media reports, Cesc Fàbregas is at the top of the list of candidates to succeed Inzaghi as Inter coach.

The Nerazzurri management is extremely impressed by Fàbregas’s achievements with Como, having led them back to Serie A and successfully played some excellent football last season, keeping them well away from the relegation battle.

Fàbregas has yet to make a decision regarding his coaching future, as his contract with Como remains valid and he has several offers, most notably from RB Leipzig.

Como is committed to continuing as coach, while Inter’s offer may be tempting for Fàbregas to take the next step in his career.
