Mundo Deportivo revealed that Barcelona is closely monitoring the development of one of Argentina’s most prominent talents, with a view to securing his services in January or June.
This player is Ian Subiabri, an 18-year-old left-footed player who plays for Argentine giants River Plate.
According to the report, Subiabri excels at playing on the right wing and is considered one of Argentina’s most talented players, thanks to his exceptional skill and goal-scoring ability.
Subiabri’s abilities were highlighted in the South American Under-20 Championship with the Argentine national team, where he scored three goals in six matches.
Barcelona will closely monitor the player’s development by monitoring his performances at the Under-20 World Cup in Chile, scheduled to begin next October.
In practice, the deal won’t be too costly for Barcelona’s coffers, as it can only be finalized for €30 million, the value of the player’s release clause with River Plate, which still runs until the summer of 2028.
