British media revealed the financial reward Chelsea received for winning the 2025 Club World Cup.
The English club pulled off a surprise by defeating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 at MetLife Stadium in the final, securing their second World Cup crown in their history.
The financial rewards were one of the biggest incentives for all the participating clubs. Chelsea received the largest reward for winning the title and winning six of their seven matches from the group stage to the final.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea’s total reward for winning the Club World Cup was approximately $107 million, surpassing even Real Madrid and the most valuable clubs in terms of market value and fan base.
For simply participating, Chelsea received a sum of up to $30 million, plus a bonus for progress in the tournament. The reward for winning the title alone amounted to $40 million.
There’s no doubt that the arrival of this substantial sum into Chelsea’s coffers is extremely significant given the club’s ongoing problems with UEFA and Financial Fair Play regulations, which led to the Blues being fined a few days ago and threatened with being banned from European competitions if the financial violations are repeated.
