Former Tottenham star Gustavo Poyet believes Harry Kane should move to Barcelona if he leaves Bayern Munich, believing such a move would be ideal for both parties.
The English star could leave the Bavarian giants next summer for a release clause of no more than €60 million, but he must make a decision by January 2026.
“If Kane wants a new experience for his family, I would definitely choose Barcelona, especially if Lewandowski leaves the team,” Poyet told reporters.
He added, “Moving to Barcelona would be a completely different experience than anything Kane has ever experienced.”
He concluded, “A player like Kane in attack? Oh my God, he’ll make the goals count!”
Despite Poyet’s wishes, a move to Barcelona seems impossible. The player himself has confirmed that he is happy at Bayern Munich, while English media reports indicate that if he leaves the Allianz Arena, he will be destined to return to the Premier League.
Barcelona is currently searching for a striker to replace Robert Lewandowski. Due to the financial crisis, the Catalan club will likely opt for a promising, rather than experienced, striker.
