Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has ruled out a return to the Premier League next summer, expressing his happiness with the Bavarian club and expecting to remain at the Allianz Arena for many years.
Last month, English newspapers reported that there is a clause allowing Kane to return to Tottenham in the summer of 2026 for a fee not exceeding €60 million. However, the England international must inform Bayern Munich before the end of January of that year.
In an interview with The Guardian, Kane was asked about his future and replied, “Extending my contract? I see it as a possibility. I spoke frankly two weeks ago that I haven’t had any talks with Bayern Munich yet. But if those things come up, I’d be willing to talk and have a frank discussion.”
He added, “It’s about how next year goes or what we achieve together (meaning winning titles and competing for the Champions League).”
He continued, “Regarding the Premier League, I don’t know. If you had asked me when I left for Bayern, I would have said I would definitely return, but after two years there, I can probably say my desire to return has diminished a little.”
He concluded, “What I’ve learned in my career is that opportunities and timing change, and things happen in their own time. Going back to where I started with Bayern, I’m now fully committed to Bayern.”
Kane is enjoying an ideal season with Bayern Munich so far, having scored 21 goals and provided four assists in 15 matches across all competitions. He is the Bundesliga’s top scorer and is also second in the Champions League.
