Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that his team’s upcoming match against Arsenal will be a “war” after the events that took place in the last match at the Etihad Stadium.
The last match witnessed many heated incidents between the two parties, the most prominent of which was Mikel Arteta’s quarrel with Erling Haaland, and the common provocation between the players of both teams was clear.
Arteta increased the crisis with his statements after the match when he was asked about the anger of the City players with the Arsenal defense, to respond by saying, “I have been there before. I have all the information. So, I know. Believe me.”
Guardiola responded to these statements with an angry tone, saying, “Next time, Mikel must be more clear. He must explain what he means when he said he was here for four years, and we know exactly what happened here.”
“The next game in February will be a war and we are fully prepared for it. Sometimes emotions are at their peak. This is the situation, we are here to provoke the opponent and push them.”
It is worth noting that Manchester City succeeded in winning the last two Premier League titles at the expense of Arsenal in a competition that extended until the final round.
