Marc Casado’s absence from Barcelona will not be long, after it was confirmed that his recent injury is not serious and will not require a lengthy recovery period before he returns to play in the Catalan jersey.
Casado was expected to play in the last match against Celta Vigo and was in the starting lineup, but he suffered a sudden injury during the warm-up, which led to Dani Olmo replacing him.
The newspaper “Sport” indicated that Casado is suffering from a hamstring tear, but it is not serious.
If things go as planned, the 22-year-old will return to play for Barcelona again as soon as the current international break ends, and his absence will not be long in any case.
Barcelona is preparing for a tough match after the break, when they host Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou in La Liga, followed by a Champions League match against Chelsea.
Barcelona have been plagued by injuries recently, most notably to Pedri, who is expected to return at the beginning of December. This makes Casado’s absence a significant blow, but fortunately, it was averted.
Casado has made 12 appearances for Barcelona this season, totaling 566 minutes, without scoring a goal but providing one assist.
