The Newcastle United vs. Brighton match witnessed a goal that could only be described as magical by German striker Nick Woltemade.
Woltemade, who is nearly two meters tall, met a low cross from Luis Maile perfectly, backheeling the ball with a powerful finish that immediately found its way into the Brighton net and gave Newcastle an equalizer in the 76th minute.

This goal became the talk of the town on social media, especially since Woltemade’s performances generally prove that paying €90 million to acquire him from Stuttgart was not a strange decision by Newcastle’s management.
This goal was the 23-year-old Woltemade’s fifth goal for Newcastle in all competitions, having scored four goals in the Premier League and one in the Champions League.
Despite the wonderful goal, Woltemade’s efforts were in vain, as Danny Welbeck scored a second goal in the dying seconds to secure Brighton’s precious three points in the eighth round of the Premier League.
Newcastle’s tally now stands at nine points in 12th place, while Brighton are ninth with 12 points.
