Speaking to Philippe Diallo, the president stressed that he has no intention at all to dismiss Didier Deschamps from the France national team, even if he does not succeed in achieving Euro 2024, which is scheduled to be held in Germany next summer.
Diallo said in this regard, “We currently have the best coach in French football, and he will remain in his position until the 2026 World Cup.”
He also added, “Zidane is certainly one of the symbols of French football, and we have great appreciation and gratitude for what he gave to the French people.”
Zizou had recently gone out to the media and expressed his desire to return to the field of training again, and before that he dreamed of coaching France or returning to Real Madrid again.
With the door closed to the French national team until 2026, it is expected that the coach of Algerian origins will consider another destination in Italy or Germany, or submit to the great interest of English clubs in him.
