For the first time in 9 years.. Arsenal survives Bayern Munich’s “nightmare” (video)

Arsenal tied with Bayern Munich 2-2 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, in a match held at the Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka advanced with a goal in the 12th minute, but Bayern Munich came back with two goals through Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane in the 18th and 32nd minutes.

In the second half, substitute Leandro Trossard succeeded in equalizing after a wonderful skill from Gabriel Jesus, thus ending Arsenal’s series of losses against the German club.

The last 3 matches between the two teams in the Champions League ended with Bayern Munich winning 5-1 in all of them.

Arsenal’s last victory against Bayern dates back to 2015 in the group stage with a score of 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, but after that the German club became a “nightmare” for the Gunners.

Now Mikel Arteta’s battalion will have to untie the Allianz Arena knot extending from 2013 by achieving a victory there and crossing to the semi-finals.
