Following in the footsteps of Endrick… Real Madrid wants Palmeiras’ “jewel”

Spanish media reports have revealed Real Madrid’s interest in signing a new Brazilian talent, Eduardo Conceição, a Palmeiras player who is only sixteen years old.

In recent years, the Royal Club has made a habit of signing outstanding young Brazilian players, some of whom have gone on to shine at the Santiago Bernabéu, such as Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes.

According to the newspaper AS, Juni Calafat, head of scouting at Real Madrid, wants to sign Conceição, considered one of the jewels of Brazilian football, after being convinced that his characteristics are ideally suited to Real Madrid’s style and that he can achieve great success in the Spanish capital.

Conceição is a tall player, 180 cm, right-footed, and distinguished by his speed, skill, and ability to dribble in one-on-one situations. He clearly surpasses his peers of the same age.

Also, Conceição, at the age of 15, played for Brazil’s under-17 team, and now, at 16, he plays for the under-20 team, reflecting his rapid development and the confidence everyone within the Seleção has in his potential.

Real Madrid has a close relationship with Palmeiras, which would make signing Conceição relatively straightforward, although he cannot join Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad before turning 18, as per FIFA regulations.

Thus, if Real Madrid decides to make a formal attempt to sign the player, the Endrick scenario could be repeated, with the Spanish club buying him and then loaning him back to Palmeiras for two years until he turns 18, at which point he would don the royal white jersey.

It’s worth noting that Real Madrid isn’t the only club interested in signing Conceição; he is also attracting interest from other European giants, with Chelsea reportedly being the most eager to secure his services.
