Kylian Mbappé was crowned European Golden Shoe winner for 2025 after scoring 31 goals for Real Madrid in La Liga this season.
As is well known, the Golden Shoe is awarded to the player who has scored the most goals in European leagues overall.
In the top five leagues, a player receives two points for each goal, while in other leagues, a player receives 1.5 points for each goal.
This rule contributed to Mbappé’s victory over the brilliant Viktor Gjokeres, who scored 39 goals in the Portuguese league with Sporting Lisbon.
