Ferreira identifies two reasons for Zamalek’s poor results and rejects the management’s proposal!

Egyptian media reported that Zamalek coach Yannick Ferreira rejected the club’s board of directors’ proposal to add an Egyptian assistant to his technical staff, insisting on continuing with the current assistants without any of them leaving.

Demands for the Belgian coach’s dismissal increased following a significant decline in results before the last international break. However, sporting director John Edward, in agreement with club president Hussein Labib, decided to renew confidence in Ferreira and support his project in Mit Okba.

It was reported that the Zamalek management wanted to add an Egyptian player to Ferreira’s staff, specifically Ahmed Samir, who previously worked as an assistant coach with former coach Ayman El Ramadi. However, the Belgian coach clearly responded that he did not want this, and that it was better for him and the team to continue with the same technical staff.

At the same time, Ferreira identified two reasons for the recent poor results. The first is the players’ failure to receive their financial dues and the mental impact this has had on the pitch. The management promised the coach that the crisis would be resolved within a short period.

The second reason, according to Ferreira, for the current crisis is the high number of injuries, especially in midfield. The 42-year-old believes that once the players return after the international break, it should have a positive impact and put the team back on the right track.

Zamalek is preparing to face Somalia’s Dekedaha on October 18 and 24 in the CAF Confederation Cup Round of 32, followed by a tough Egyptian League match against Al-Bank Al-Ahly on the 30th.
