Only 23 minutes into the match between Barcelona and Real Mallorca in the first round of La Liga, controversy erupted over refereeing decisions.
Barcelona took an early lead after just 7 minutes through Rafinha, following a magical pass from Lamine Yamal.
But in the 23rd minute, the most controversial moment came when Ferran Torres unleashed a powerful shot that found the back of the net, giving Barça their second goal.
Immediately, Mallorca players began to protest strongly, demanding that the goal be disallowed, due to the referee’s fault.

Before Ferran Torres could score, Lamine Yamal fired a powerful shot that hit the head of a Mallorca defender.
Mallorca players said they heard a whistle from the referee to stop play at that moment so the defender could receive treatment, as is often the case with head injuries.
However, the referee responded that he did not blow the whistle and that the audible sound came from the stands, and insisted on strongly awarding the controversial penalty.
