FC Barcelona has finalized an agreement with Club Brugge to sign promising Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu, as part of the Catalan club’s strategy to recruit top European talents for their first-team project.
Football transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed that both clubs have reached a total agreement and have begun exchanging the necessary documentation to complete the transfer of the 18-year-old prospect.
Barcelona will pay a fixed fee of €8.5 million, while Club Brugge retains a 20% sell-on clause for any future transfer. Bisiwu is set to sign a five-year contract with Blaugrana.
The player’s determination to join Barcelona proved decisive in negotiations. Bisiwu rejected multiple offers from rival European clubs and turned down Brugge’s attempts to extend his contract, which was set to expire in the summer of 2027.

Capable of playing across both flanks, Bisiwu excels primarily on the left wing. He is known for his pace, dribbling skill, and direct attacking play, which he demonstrated with Club Brugge’s youth and reserve teams.
Barcelona’s management plans to integrate Bisiwu into Hansi Flick’s first-team preseason training, with the possibility of featuring for the reserve side (Barça Atlètic) during his initial months to adapt to Spanish football.
The Belgian teenager is expected to join the squad’s preseason camp in England as soon as he completes his medical examinations and signs the official paperwork.
