Estevao’s bite deepens Liverpool’s wounds and leads Chelsea to a thrilling victory

Chelsea secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the seventh round of the English Premier League.

Moses Caicedo gave Chelsea an early lead in the 14th minute, before Cody Gakpo equalized for the visitors in the 63rd minute.

As the game drew to a close, Estevao scored the winning goal for the Blues, inflicting Arne Slot’s side their second consecutive Premier League defeat and their third consecutive defeat in all competitions.


This is the first time Liverpool have lost three consecutive matches since April 2023, and the first time they have lost two consecutive Premier League matches since that date.

Meanwhile, this is the first time Chelsea has beaten Liverpool in the Premier League, back-to-back, since 2014.

Liverpool’s points tally remains at 15 in second place, one point behind leaders Arsenal, while Chelsea is in sixth place with 11 points.
