Endrick named best player in France for January 2026

Real Madrid’s on-loan star, Endrick, has won the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for January 2026.

The Brazilian international arrived at the Stade Vélodrome at the start of the new year and quickly made his mark on Paulo Fonseca’s squad.

Endrick provided an assist on his debut against Brest, then scored a hat-trick against Metz. In total, he has featured in six matches since joining Lyon, scoring five goals and providing one assist.

As a result of his performances, Endrick secured the Player of the Month award, giving him a significant psychological boost to continue his excellent form and hopefully finish the season strongly enough to secure a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

It’s worth noting that Endrick received a red card during Lyon’s match against Nantes and subsequently missed the French giants’ last game against Nice.

There is no doubt that Real Madrid stands to benefit the most from the 19-year-old’s performances, as they hope for his return and to lead their attack at the Santiago Bernabéu next season.

It is worth noting that Lyon is trying to keep Endrick for another year, while the player has attracted interest from several clubs, most notably Chelsea. He joined Real Madrid for €50 million from Palmeiras.
