Due to Benzema’s move to Al-Hilal, Ronaldo rebels against the Saudi League

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly furious about the lack of fair competition in the Saudi League, leading him to initiate what could be seen as a “rebellion” against the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) officials following the events of the final hours of the current winter transfer window.

According to the Portuguese newspaper “A Bola,” Ronaldo will not participate in Al-Nassr’s match against Al-Riyadh on Monday as an expression of his dissatisfaction with the PIF’s handling of Al-Nassr during the winter transfer window and what he perceives as clear favoritism towards Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo’s anger was particularly ignited upon hearing the news of Karim Benzema’s transfer to Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad. He believes that the PIF’s acceptance of the deal significantly harms fair competition in the Saudi League.

Ronaldo feels there has been a significant decline in investment within Al-Nassr, as the PIF refused to fulfill the reinforcement requests that coach Jorge Jesus repeatedly made over the past month.

Meanwhile, the suspension of certain Al-Nassr officials, including Portuguese members of the administrative structure, has significantly contributed to Ronaldo’s growing discontent. He believes these measures are negatively impacting his team’s ability to compete for various titles this season.

It’s worth noting that Al-Nassr currently sits second in the Saudi Professional League standings, tied with Al-Ahli, and just three points behind league leaders Al-Hilal.
