Al Hilal announced in an official statement that one of its stars has suffered an injury that casts doubt on his participation in the Club World Cup match against Real Madrid.
This star is Musab Al-Juwair, who coach Simone Inzaghi is counting on heavily after his return from loan from Al-Shabab, to the point that Al Hilal refused to send him with the Saudi national team to the Gold Cup.
According to the Blue Wave’s statement, Al-Juwair was unable to participate in recent training due to a knee bruise, without revealing the expected length of his absence.
In principle, it is unlikely that the 21-year-old player will be available for Wednesday’s match against Real Madrid at Hard Rock Stadium.
At the same time, the injury is not expected to be serious, and Al Hilal will recover the player in the best possible way before the final group match against Pachuca, scheduled for Friday, June 27.
Al-Juwair is considered one of the most prominent Saudi talents in recent years, which led the club’s management to refuse to let him go despite the midfield being crowded with top players. His absence against Real Madrid is therefore not a minor blow for Al-Hilal.
