A controversial video clip has emerged showing Rodrygo Goes cursing Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso after being substituted against Real Oviedo on Sunday.
Rodrygo started for the first time this season against Oviedo, playing more than 60 minutes before Alonso decided to replace him with Vinicius Junior.
Rodrygo was then seen heading to the bench, then sat down, visibly angry, and throwing his shirt to the ground.
A popular Brazilian TikTok lip reader posted a video revealing Rodrygo’s words on the bench.
According to the Brazilian, Rodrygo said, “Fuck him, every game is like this,” in a clear reference to coach Xabi Alonso.
Alonso expressed his happiness with Rodrygo’s performance, justifying his substitution by citing the team’s need for a fresh attacking spirit. Vinicius has, in fact, achieved this, having assisted one goal and scored another.
Rodrygo’s situation with Real Madrid remains extremely complicated. He doesn’t appear to be Alonso’s first or even second choice, while no club has made any moves to sign the Brazilian yet.
