Zamalek coach Yannick Ferreira announced that Seifeddine Jaziri would not play for the Whites again while he was at the helm of the Egyptian Premier League giants.
Jaziri participated in part of Zamalek’s match against Ceramica Cleopatra at the start of the season, after which he remained on the bench or was excluded from the Whites’ match roster.
Following Zamalek’s 1-0 victory over Pharco, Ferreira was asked why Jaziri did not play for the Tunisian, and he responded clearly that he would not play for Zamalek again as long as he was the coach.
Egyptian media revealed details of the dispute between Jaziri and Ferreira, as a verbal altercation broke out between them during Zamalek’s training session before the last Pharco match, which prompted the coach to take this decisive stance against him.
Ferreira asked Jaziri to train as a winger or playmaker, but the Tunisian international completely rejected the idea. A verbal altercation ensued, and the Belgian coach subsequently decided to completely exclude him from his plans.
Jaziri’s controversial contract with Zamalek runs until next summer, and his current salary exceeds $1 million. John Edward, the sporting director, tried to get rid of him during the last transfer window, but the player insisted on staying with Mit Okba.
