Le Parisien newspaper confirmed that the injury suffered by Kylian Mbappé in the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal is not serious and will not prevent him from joining the French national team during the upcoming international break.

According to the latest report, Mbappé’s injury is a minor sprain in his right ankle and will not cause him to be absent for long.
Real Madrid had hoped that Mbappé would remain in Spain and not participate in the international break, but the 26-year-old insisted on joining coach Didier Deschamps’ squad and confirmed that the injury was minor.
Mbappé will play two matches with France in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers: against Azerbaijan and Iceland.
Mbappé is having a historic season with Real Madrid, leading the scoring charts in La Liga and the Champions League, scoring a total of 14 goals in 13 matches across the two competitions.
