Dembélé hopes Mbappé wins the Ballon d’Or

Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé expressed his hope that the Ballon d’Or will one day go to his French teammate and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé.

Dembélé won the 2025 Ballon d’Or after his outstanding performance last season, leading PSG to a historic treble, contributing over 50 goals in all competitions.

Mbappé was one of the most vocal supporters of Dembélé winning the Ballon d’Or. A few days before the ceremony, he decided not to attend the ceremony in Paris, emphasizing that the Paris Saint-Germain star was the undisputed winner.

When asked about Mbappé’s brilliance this season with Real Madrid, Dembélé said, “He deserves the Ballon d’Or given his amazing career. He’s having a great start to the season and he’s not stopping scoring. I hope he wins it one day.”

Mbappé has scored 16 goals in 14 games for Real Madrid this season and leads the scoring charts in La Liga and the Champions League.

Dembélé has just returned from a muscle injury that kept him out for nearly two months, scoring in Paris Saint-Germain’s 7-2 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen.
