Cristiano Ronaldo’s face reflected his deep disappointment following Al-Nassr’s 3-2 defeat to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
The Portuguese star played in the match but failed to score, ending his eight-game scoring streak in the Saudi Pro League this season.
The loss to Al-Ahli was Al-Nassr’s first defeat in the Saudi Pro League and their second overall this season, following their 2-1 loss to Al-Ittihad in the King’s Cup quarter-final at Al-Ahli’s home ground.
Ronaldo’s performance against Al-Ahli was far from convincing in his debut match of 2026, as he squandered several chances in a bizarre fashion, prompting a wave of criticism against the Portuguese legend.

As soon as the final whistle blew, the camera focused on the 40-year-old, who appeared deeply saddened and on the verge of tears.
The defeat against Al-Ahli practically meant Al-Nassr lost their lead in the Roshan League standings. Al-Hilal will face Damac, and if they win, they will dethrone Al-Nassr for the first time.
It’s worth noting that Ronaldo has yet to win any official titles with Al-Nassr after two and a half years with the Saudi giants.
