Cristiano Ronaldo continues his tireless work with Al-Nassr to strengthen the team with the best possible options. According to Marca, he has directed the management to make a huge new deal, driven by his desire to bolster the offensive capabilities of coach Jorge Jesus’ squad.
The Portuguese played a major role in securing Joao Felix’s transfer to Al-Nassr last week, after he spoke directly with his compatriot, convincing him of the Saudi club’s project. Hours later, the 25-year-old signed for the Yellow Giants.
The latest development is that Ronaldo has urged Al-Nassr to sign Marseille star Mason Greenwood, whom he considers an ideal right-winger who will make a significant contribution next season.
Ronaldo previously played alongside Greenwood at Manchester United and is fully aware of his abilities. Following the Englishman’s impressive performances in Ligue 1 last season, the 40-year-old’s confidence in the value of adding him to Al-Nassr has grown.
Al-Nassr’s mission to sign Greenwood will not be easy, as the player has attracted interest from major European clubs, most notably Inter Milan. The final decision remains in the 23-year-old’s hands, whether to remain in Europe or move to the Roshen League.
It’s worth noting that Greenwood was previously accused of assaulting his girlfriend, which led to his exclusion from Manchester United and the England national team. However, he returned and shone with Getafe, before moving to Marseille, where he scored 22 goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances across all competitions last season.
