Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his engagement to his partner, Georgina Rodriguez.
Georgina announced the news herself on social media, posting a photo of a large ring and writing in Spanish: “Yes, I say yes. In this life and in all my life.” No further details were revealed.
So far, Ronaldo, the most-followed person on Instagram, has not commented on the engagement news.
The couple met nine years ago at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Georgina worked. At the time, Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.
The Portuguese player and star of the Saudi Al-Nasr club have five children in total, two of whom are with Georgina.
Their youngest daughter, Bella, was born in April 2022, along with her twin brother, who was stillborn. Georgina has also helped raise Ronaldo’s other three children.
The family currently lives in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nasr. He joined the club in December 2022 with an annual salary of $238 million.
