Courtois guards Real Madrid’s goal against Cadiz. Will he participate against Bayern Munich?

Marca newspaper revealed that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti plans to rely on Thibaut Courtois in the Cadiz match next Saturday in La Liga.

The Belgian has not played any matches since the beginning of the current season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, and before he suffered another injury in March that has prevented him from returning to the stadiums until now.

With his recovery complete, Ancelotti wants his Belgian goalkeeper to participate this season, and settled on playing him for only 45 minutes against Cadiz in the match that will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

According to the newspaper, Kepa will also participate in the Cadiz match and will be replaced by Courtois between halftime of the match.

This raised many questions about the possibility of Ancelotti relying on Courtois in the most important match of the season against Bayern Munich on Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

But Marca ended this controversy completely by announcing that the Italian coach will rely on Andrey Lunin, as is usual, and that he is the main goalkeeper on all major occasions until the end of the current season.

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian goalkeeper is in the process of renewing his contract with the Royal Club until the summer of 2028, and a strong competition awaits him with Courtois for the position of first-choice goalkeeper next season.
