Confirmed: Real Madrid star will be absent from the Champions League final

L’Equipe newspaper confirmed that Aurelien Chouamini will not be able to join Real Madrid’s match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1.

The French star suffered a muscle injury in his leg after the match against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the semi-final, and because of it he has been absent from the field since then until now.

Although the player, during Real Madrid’s celebrations of winning the League title, confirmed his optimism about the possibility of reaching the final, the recovery process, according to “L’Equipe”, is not progressing in the positive manner hoped for.

It appears that Chouamini’s injury is greater than expected, as the report indicates that the player’s absence may extend to France’s first match in Euro 2024 against Austria on June 17.

The loss of the 23-year-old may be a blow to coach Carlo Ancelotti, given that he can be relied upon whether in midfield or at the heart of defence.

Tchouamini will be Real Madrid’s second confirmed absence from the final, after David Alaba, who has an anterior cruciate ligament injury and has been sidelined since last December.

In the midfield, Choameni can be replaced by his compatriot Eduardo Camavinga, while in the heart of the defense, with the return of Eder Militao from injury, there is no real crisis with the presence of the duo Nacho and Antonio Rudiger.
