Antonio Conte’s men had hoped for a victory to postpone the Nerazzurri’s title celebrations, but it now appears that the 35th round of matches could see Chievo’s men lift the trophy.

Como may well be Inter’s lucky charm, as it was also the gateway through which the Azzurri reached the Coppa Italia final, where they will face Lazio in mid-May.

The goalless draw takes Napoli to 70 points, while Inter lead the table with 79. A win against Parma on Sunday would secure the title for Inter with three matches remaining.

Despite the goalless draw, Como remains in contention for a Champions League spot, with Cesc Fabregas’s men now on 62 points in fifth place, two points behind fourth-placed Juventus, who have a game in hand.

It’s worth noting that Napoli were the reigning Serie A champions last season, but Inter are now back in the title race and on the verge of their 21st championship.

Juventus, who haven’t won the title in six years, remain the most successful club in Italian football history with 36 titles, followed by Inter, and then AC Milan with 19, the most recent of which came under Stefano Pioli in 2012.
