Chelsea have shut the door on any potential departure for Estêvão, despite escalating reports linking the Brazilian winger with Barcelona and Real Madrid due to his limited game time under head coach Xabi Alonso.
According to British newspaper Metro, the London club’s board is not considering a sale for the 19-year-old talent, viewing him as a cornerstone of their long-term project rather than a player available for transfer in the upcoming January window.
Barcelona’s interest intensified following reports of Estêvão’s frustration over his role, having accumulated just 23 minutes across five Premier League appearances at the start of the campaign. However, Xabi Alonso reassured the youngster during private talks, publicly reiterating his faith in the winger’s importance to the team.
Chelsea acquired Estêvão from Palmeiras for an initial fee of £29 million, alongside £20 million in performance-related add-ons, waiting for him to reach the age of 18 before officially welcoming him to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2025.
Estêvão completed his debut season in England with eight goals in 36 appearances—making 20 starts and 16 substitute outings—which included three goals in the UEFA Champions League.
Real Madrid were among the clubs that initially held talks with Palmeiras regarding the attacker, alongside Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City. Ultimately, Chelsea secured his signature and continue to manage him as one of the standout talents of his generation.
