The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has set the date for the quarter-final draws of the 2026 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Sunday will see the conclusion of the group stage in both competitions, with eight teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals and marking the start of the knockout rounds.
CAF decided not to wait until the end of the month and will conduct the quarter-final draws for both competitions soon, setting Tuesday, February 17th, as the date for determining the matchups for the upcoming round.
The Egyptian Football Association will host the draw ceremony at its headquarters in Cairo, starting at 1:00 PM Cairo time (12:00 PM North African time).
The CAF Champions League features a large number of Arab clubs, most notably the defending champions Pyramids FC, the most successful club in the competition’s history, Al Ahly, as well as Al Hilal of Sudan, Espérance Sportive de Tunis, and others.
In the Confederation Cup, the most prominent name remains Zamalek, who have won the title twice, along with Wydad Athletic Club, which is packed with big players such as Hakim Ziyech and Wissam Ben Yedder.
