Real Madrid’s stars are leaning towards keeping Álvaro Arbeloa as the club’s coach and not hiring a new one next season, after the Spaniard succeeded in restoring stability to the dressing room.
According to Marca, there is a great deal of satisfaction among the players with Arbeloa, not only because of his success in managing matches, but also because of his ability to restore team spirit and instill loyalty in the players in record time.
There is great appreciation for Arbeloa’s fierce defense of the players in front of the media, while at the same time he never hesitates to offer them frank and direct criticism behind closed doors.
On the tactical front, Arbeloa has provided excellent solutions in managing crises and absences, in addition to the boldness he has shown in his substitutions during matches, which has ultimately had a positive impact on results.
Under Arbeloa’s leadership, Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde have rediscovered their lost smiles and their best form after a period of inconsistency.
Arbeloa also managed to secure the support of the “heavyweights” – Thibaut Courtois, Choupo-Moting, and Antonio Rüdiger – while also handling the star power of Bellingham and Mbappé well, and giving opportunities to young players from the academy, most notably Thiago Pitarch.
As the newspaper reported, if elections were held now within the Real Madrid dressing room to choose next season’s coach, Arbeloa would win without question.
Ultimately, the decision rests with Florentino Pérez, who is waiting to see a real achievement – winning La Liga or the Champions League – before confirming Arbeloa in his position for another year.
