Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham considered that he is not most deserving of the Ballon d’Or, while his teammate Vinicius Junior is more deserving of winning the biggest individual award for a football player.
Bellingham is having a distinguished season with Real Madrid at all levels, which has made many speculate about the possibility of him being at the top of the list of candidates to win the Ballon d’Or.
When the English star was asked about the matter, he answered during his conversation with The Athletic Network by saying, “For me, Vinicius Junior is the best in the world and the most deserving of the Golden Ball.”
He added, “He has everything to be the best in the world. He literally creates magic out of nothing.”
Vinicius had said that Bellingham deserved the Ballon d’Or, and when Bellingham heard that, he jokingly replied, “If that’s what he believes in, we can split the Ballon d’Or into two parts.”
It is noteworthy that Vinicius scored 23 goals and assisted 11 others in 38 matches, while Bellingham scored 23 goals and assisted 12 others in 41 matches this season.
