Negotiations between Carlo Ancelotti and the Brazilian national team have stalled, and it has become certain that the Real Madrid coach will not take over as coach of the Seleção, succeeding Dorival Junior.
The story began with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez’s anger at Ancelotti’s travel to London to negotiate with Brazil without his personal approval.
In the past few hours, Real Madrid officials informed Ancelotti that he would not receive any money for his dismissal if he leaves before the Club World Cup.
The Italian coach wants to receive his €11 million in financial dues, or at least €4 million of that, when he terminates his contract with Real Madrid, which runs until 2026.
The Brazilian national team wanted Ancelotti to take over during the upcoming international break in early June, but Real Madrid is blocking this.
At the same time, Relevo revealed that Ancelotti received a huge offer that made him reluctant to accept the Brazil job.
The talk here is of an annual salary of €50 million, should the 63-year-old agree to coach Saudi club Al Hilal, succeeding Jorge Jesus.
Ultimately, everything indicates that Ancelotti will not coach Brazil. He informed the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation that he would not take the position, as reported by Brazilian network UOL, shocking the Brazilian club’s officials.
