According to the BBC, the last four times Arsenal entered the Christmas period, they ultimately failed to win the title.
This occurred in the 2002-2003, 2007-2008, and 2022-2023 seasons, and most recently last season when Arsenal lost the title to Liverpool.
Since Arsène Wenger’s era, Arsenal has clearly suffered from what could be called “short-livedness,” unable to compete for long periods and consistently faltering in the final stages. This is a logical explanation for their failure to win the English Premier League title for over 20 years.
It’s worth noting that Arsenal currently leads the English league standings with 39 points, just two points ahead of Manchester City, the most successful club in the last decade in terms of league titles won.
