Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that the German club is not interested in signing Mohamed Salah during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Salah is likely to leave Liverpool in January due to his disagreements with manager Arne Slott, and the Reds’ management is expected to facilitate the Egyptian’s departure if they decide he needs to leave Anfield.
Before Bayern Munich’s match against Sporting Lisbon, Eberl was asked if Bayern Munich could be a possible destination for the “Egyptian King” should he leave Liverpool.
Eberl responded very clearly, saying, “We have an exceptional talent in Lennart Carl. It would never make sense to bring in another player in the same position.”
Carl is considered one of the most promising talents in world football today and has established himself as a key player under manager Vincent Kompany, with strong support from the Bayern Munich management.
The 18-year-old Carl scored the goal that led Bayern Munich to an important 3-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
