Journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Vitor Roque has informed Al-Hilal officials of his rejection of their offer to sign him this summer.
Barcelona is looking to offload the Brazilian player after he failed to make the expected impact since joining last January for €40 million.
Al-Hilal expressed great interest in Roque and was willing to pay €30 million or more for the 19-year-old, but the player’s response was clear.
According to Romano, Roque rejected Al-Hilal’s offer and wants to stay at Barcelona or in Europe in general.
Roque is currently with Barcelona in the United States in his last chance to prove himself to coach Xavi, otherwise, a departure will be certain.
As for Al-Hilal, the Saudi club has started looking for another young striker with the same qualities as Roque, as Romano said that “the blue wave” is seeking to sign an outstanding striker under the age of 21.
Aston Villa player John Duran is at the top of Al-Hilal’s list, but the deal seems complicated due to the player’s desire to move to West Ham.
