Barcelona Star Close to Premier League Move

A Barcelona star is close to a move to the Premier League, according to Sport.

The report here concerns Hector Fort, whom the Catalan club’s management is seeking to sell this summer to free up space for new signings.

A recent report indicated that West Ham officials are in contact with their Barcelona counterparts to explore the possibility of signing some of Hansi Flick’s squad stars this summer.

The first name West Ham wanted was Marc Casado, but the player himself refuses to leave Camp Nou this summer, while Hansi Flick insists he stay as a potential replacement throughout the season.

The second name that emerged after that was Fort. The player is no longer in Flick’s plans, and he is also keen to leave to gain minutes and develop.

The 19-year-old player views this move positively, believing that moving to the Premier League is a good opportunity for him from a sporting perspective, and that his salary will also increase.

However, from both Fort and Barcelona’s perspective, the current desire is for the deal to be on loan with no mandatory purchase clause next summer, and negotiations are ongoing with West Ham to reach a final agreement on this matter.

Fort isn’t expected to be the only player to leave this summer; goalkeeper Iñaki Peña is also close to leaving for Como or Real Mallorca, while Oriel Romeu’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
