Sport newspaper revealed that Roony Bardghji has categorically rejected the option of leaving Barcelona this summer and wants to continue with the Catalan club this season no matter the cost.
Barcelona signed Bardghji from FC Copenhagen at the beginning of the transfer window, but so far, the club has faced significant difficulties in registering him for the first team.
According to the latest report, Bardghji has rejected several offers to loan him to another club that would guarantee him a place in the squad for last season. He has preferred to remain with Barça and is confident that the club will eventually sign him.
So far, the 19-year-old has been unable to play a first-team match despite being initially registered with the reserve team.
Bardghji would prefer, even in the worst-case scenario, to playing for the reserve team rather than leaving for another club, and wants to maintain his presence in training with Hansi Flick’s squad.
With just one week remaining before the end of the summer transfer window, Barcelona is racing against time to sign the Syrian-born player, as well as Szczesny and Gerard Martin, relying on the expected departures of Iñaki Peña, Oriol Romeu, and Héctor Fort.
