Martín’s current agreement runs through the summer of 2028 and features a €100 million release clause, which Barcelona intend to raise to a significantly higher figure.

Martín began his first-team career primarily as a backup left-back before Flick re-deployed him as a left-sided center-back, capitalizing on his composure in build-up play and comfort operating within a high defensive line.
The Spanish defender has demonstrated increased composure in possession and stronger duel efficiency, approaching 50 appearances across all competitions last season.
Martín made 42 appearances during his debut 2024–2025 campaign, contributing to Barcelona’s domestic treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España, before further solidifying his importance the following season.
