Barcelona gives Lewandowski the green light to leave for Saudi Arabia!

Mundo Deportivo reported that Barcelona would not mind Robert Lewandowski leaving this summer if they received a lucrative offer, although this could upset the club’s financial plans in the final month of the transfer window.

The Polish international’s contract still runs until the summer of 2026, and he remains a key player under coach Hansi Flick. The Catalan club has virtually no alternative striker other than Ferran Torres.

According to the latest report, Barcelona’s management will not stand in the way of the 37-year-old if he wants to leave, but they hope it happens early so they can move forward and find a replacement striker.

Saudi clubs are the most interested in signing Lewandowski, and it is reported that there have been attempts in recent days by Wurzburg League giants to lure the Polish star with financial offers far exceeding his current salary at Camp Nou.

So far, Lewandowski has maintained his desire to stay with Barcelona for at least one more season, but it’s not unlikely he’ll change his mind if Saudi offers continue to pour in at these exceptional rates.

It’s likely Lewandowski won’t leave this season, primarily for sporting reasons. His family has adapted to life in Barcelona and is very happy there, so the player is working to postpone his departure as much as possible.

Lewandowski joined Barcelona in 2022 for €50 million. Since then, he has made 147 appearances for the Blaugrana in all competitions, scoring 101 goals and providing 20 assists. He has also won La Liga twice, along with numerous other individual and team achievements.
