Barcelona is closely monitoring the impressive form of Abdel Samad Ezzalzouli with Real Betis, anticipating a significant financial gain from his transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Catalan club sold the Moroccan player to Betis two years ago for €7.5 million, retaining 20% of any future transfer fee.
Ezzalzouli has been in excellent form this season, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists for Betis across all competitions, surpassing his best tally from last season and fulfilling the promise he made to the Andalusian fans last July.
Currently, several English clubs are interested in signing the 24-year-old, while Betis have set a minimum price of €40 million for their star player this summer.
Barcelona is the most pleased with this significant transfer fee. If he is sold, they will receive 20% of the price, which could contribute, at least partially, to resolving the Catalan club’s financial problems and achieving the necessary financial sustainability.
Undoubtedly, Barça specifically hopes that Ezzalzouli’s brilliance will continue and reach its peak during his participation with Morocco in the 2026 World Cup, at which point this value could increase, resulting in an even greater financial gain.
