Barcelona Decides to Sell Star Player to Make Financial Gains

Sport revealed that Barcelona’s management made a surprising decision to dispense with one of its players, hoping to balance the books and comply with Financial Fair Play regulations before the end of the current summer transfer window.

This player is Hector Fort, who played many matches for Barcelona last season, providing Hansi Flick with the option of playing at right or left back.

According to the latest report, Flick recently removed Fort from his plans, and Barça’s management informed the player to start looking for a new club.

Flick made the decision, sending a message to the 19-year-old that he would not receive many minutes next season, having excluded him from the trip to Japan and South Korea.

Barcelona’s management supports Flick’s decision and believes Fort could bring in a significant sum of money that would contribute, in one way or another, to the signing of Marcus Rashford and Juan Garcia.

Barcelona doesn’t intend to sever ties with Fort too much, as they intend to include a buy-back clause in his contract with his new club, or, in the worst case, a percentage of the resale value.

It’s worth noting that Fort participated in 20 matches in all competitions last season, totaling 638 minutes in all competitions. Flick believes that the presence of Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo is sufficient to secure the right flank next season.
