Barcelona’s management has reached an agreement with one of the Catalan club’s key players to renew his contract at Camp Nou and remain with Hansi Flick’s squad for a long time.
We are talking about center-back Eric Garcia, who, according to the newspaper “Sport,” has accepted the improved offer presented to him by Barcelona’s management in recent hours. It is now only a matter of time before the official announcement of his continued stay with Barça until the summer of 2030.
The decision to renew Garcia’s contract came at Flick’s request, as he considers the Spanish international extremely important, both on the field due to his versatility in playing three different positions, and because of his notable leadership role in the dressing room.
Barcelona continues its policy of renewing the contracts of key players in the team, starting with Lamine Yamal last July, followed by Rafinha, Jules Koundé, Javi, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, and now Garcia.
Garcia has played in 10 out of 13 matches for Barcelona this season, and Flick has used him between the right-back and center-back positions. He can also be used in the midfield position when needed.
